EESCO: Entertainment Electrical Safety Committee of Ontario
The Entertainment Electrical Safety Committee of Ontario (EESCO) was formed in 1998 to address concerns from the Electrical Safety Authority (ESA) about electrical practices in the Ontario entertainment industry .
Originally comprised of representatives from the ESA and the film & television industry, EESCO expanded to include the rest of the entertainment industry – live performance, live event, carnivals and trade shows.

EESA: Entertainment Electrical Safety Association
In 2016, EESCO became EESA, The Entertainment Electrical Safety Association in an effort to better serve the Canadian Entertainment Industry, and to better reflect a national presence with expanded active contributions.
EESA’s objective is to update the entertainment industry professionals to new electrical codes, technical bulletins, product announcements and standards that affect our industry and provide a safer work environment.

Who Participates in EESA?
EESA Membership is open to stakeholders of the entertainment industry, governed by the Canadian Electrical Code in the following areas;
If you supply products or services into these industries, EESA membership allows opportunities to participate and contribute through publications, regular meetings, advertising and webex/webinars.
- Film, television, remote broadcasting and recording locations
- Amusement parks, midways, carnivals and fairs
- Live performance and entertainment events, touring shows, sporting events, trade shows and similar events.
- Manufacturers, Suppliers, and Provincial Electrical Inspection Authorities
